Winter is the best time to prune trees

Posted on February 19, 2016 by TREeCOLOGY in Uncategorized

Winter will be coming to an end in the next 6 weeks so it is time to get your trees pruned before spring rolls around. Winter is the best time to prune to avoid issue with insects and disease. Without leaves, it is easiest to assess a tree’s structural issues to correct during tree pruning. Pruning during the winter will also have the least impact on tree health, because a tree’s stored energy is at its highest point.
